Great Plains Steel, Inc. has been serving the needs of steel consumers in the West Texas area with over 100 years combined experience, beginning in the late 1970's when the partners were associated with a previous steel company, Great Plains Steel and Supply, Inc., remaining together until it sold in 1983. The partners remained in the steel industry after this closure and re-incorporated Great Plains Steel, Inc. on December 2, 1991.
 
We are a steel distributor and warehouse operation selling to retail and wholesale customers. We sell and warehouse carbon steel products used by consumers today including, but not limited to, angles, channels, I-beams, Wide Flange beams, hot roll and cold roll rounds and squares, rebar, flats, hot roll sheets and plates including coils, floor plate, pipe, square and rectangular tubing, expanded metal and grating.
 
Our greatest asset is our people. Many of our employees have 20 to 30 years’ experience in the steel industry in the West Texas area which will provide unsurpassed knowledge and ability to serve customer’s steel needs. Being locally owned and operated assures our customers of continued support and the ability to know the needs of West Texas, Eastern New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
